Our loans are secured by significant assets, typically government rebates and industry incentives. When project installation is completed, these government payments are assigned to Adam Capital to repay the Adam Capital short-term loan.

How We Work.

Adam Capital employs the age-old practice of collateralized lending. The assets we consider as collateral include equipment; cash value of government and utility rebates and incentives; power purchase agreements; and lease agreements. Our loans are extended on a short-term basis, initially for a six to twelve month period to fund installation. Once the systems are installed and government rebates and incentives received by Adam Capital, the funds are applied to repay our loan.

We combine an asset-based lending model with our expertise in navigating the complex market of incentive structures and utility rebates to provide fast effective financing for clean energy installers.

Who are Adam Capital Borrowers?

Adam Capital borrowers are experienced clean energy developers installing numerous residential or commercial systems. We fund installation of proven, field-tested systems, including solar, small wind, waste stream recovery and more.

The projects we fund are typically bundled residential projects or rooftop-scale commercial systems in the 10kw – 1MW range. Our borrowers serve a wide range of organizations, providing solar savings to nonprofits, businesses, schools, and government facilities.

Adam Capital has financed over 1000 projects, and accumulated 50 years of combined experience in project finance, asset analysis, taxation, underwriting, deal structuring, loan servicing and leasing. We have developed a proprietary system of lender controls and monitoring during the installation process. This system allows us to service a very high volume of loans with unmatched levels of oversight.

The Adam Capital team addresses a critical financing gap in the clean energy marketplace. Large commercial banks limit themselves to utility-scale projects in the $10 - $100 million range. Smaller banks that could lend in the $500,000 to $5 million range lack the expertise required to serve this market.

Adam Capital has loaned over $30 million to the clean energy market. We have funded over 1000 projects in 5 states, financing more than 7 MW worth of renewable energy for homes, schools, businesses and government buildings.
